Hi Jodie,

I wanted to thank you for giving me the best experience of my life. Making it on Broadway was the most amazing program ever, and I don't think I could have had a better experience. I learned more in this 1 week then I have learned throughout my whole life. All the teachers were so incredibly talented and inspirational. I wanted to write a long essay about how great my experience was and how amazing everyone was but I can't even express in words how much I loved it. So thank you for everything. You are honestly one of the most inspirational and amazing people I've ever worked with. You gave me corrections that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I never realized how much I could do with such supportive, encouraging people around me.

Sincerely,
Sarah Brown

Hi Jodie!

I want to thank you so much for this unbelievably amazing week. I learned so much and I know how to implement what I learned into everything I do. I feel like this workshop taught me more than everything else I have ever learned.

Every person who taught at the workshop was so inspirational. Everyone taught so many different life lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I’ve never been with a group of people who were so motivating and encouraging, and I’ve never been with a group of kids who want so badly for EACHOTHER to succeed. The atmosphere of the workshop was so positive, thank you so much for creating that.

Before, I sang “I’m Not Afraid of Anything,” with the thought of how amazing French Woods was and the thought of leaving. Now, I sing that song with the thought of this week, and all of the amazing experiences that I have had. After you told me to turn it down and take it back, I realized how effortless it was when I didn’t force. I realized that by taking back, I am actually giving more. That was such a breakthrough for me. Now everyone song I sing, I sing it like that and it feels so much better. Thank you so much for telling me that, you totally changed the way that I perform.

I absolutely love all of the songs you gave me, especially “Stop and See Me.” (obviously, it made me cry) I have no idea how you pick such perfect songs for people, but I cannot thank you enough for it. This song really transformed me as a performer. It is now my favorite song.

Every single class, every teacher, every song or monologue, strengthened my drive to perform and made me want to work harder and harder. Every time someone said something positive, it made me feel so accomplished. Every time someone said to change something, or that something needed to be fixed or worked on it made me want to work on it right away. I have an entire page in my notebook that contains only quotes that you have said to me, and every time I read it, it makes me smile and want to sing. You inspire me to work harder. I wish there was a bigger word than thank you.
Next time I come to the city, I would love to do a private coaching.

Thank you again!

Much Love,
Jane Barnhard

Thank you for setting up such a complete and comprehensive program. The master class artists and other instructors were amazing.  It was very generous of you to even go so far as to share your own voice teacher with the students.  You have a very kind and patient manner that instills a calming effect and a certain comfort level upon those around you.  That is no small feat in a high intensity program, city, and profession.  Needless to say, but always nice to hear .... you gave my daughter, Kiki, an experience of a lifetime.

Hello Jodie: Darilyn just called me to tell how much she has enjoyed the  program. She was crying, overwhelmed with excitement. She said the program " has changed her life."  Here in Suffern, a school system that is about 95%  Anglo, Darilyn has been overlooked, ignored and hardly recognized for her talent; she never got a good part in a play!  She feels that your program has really challenged her to improve her skills, exposed her to wonderful people; most importantly, she feels that her talents have been recognized and validated, while still recognizing that it is a very competitive, tough business.  Thank you so much for  this program;  I wanted Darilyn to to start the summer on the right path, full of hope and energy as she prepares to go to college. This is her first high school graduation gift ( next comes the computer and the cruise), but I am convinced this is the one she will remember for the rest of her life.

I look forward to meeting you tomorrow. Thanks again for making such a difference in Darilyn's life in only five days!

Regards,

Making it on Broadway has helped me in so many more ways than just one. Not only do I now have an excellent Rep Book and training from incredible teachers, but I've also been contacted by an Agency that was on the final audition panel. This is truly a beneficial program where one can not only excel in their craft, but network to the max. We are essentially taught by the people who we in the future, will audition for. I've grown so much in only a week and would highly recommend this intensive to those whom are very serious about their craft and the industry.

Jodie,

I just wanted to write you and say thank you. Thank you so much for this amazing program. I am so thankful I got to be a part of it. You and Kim are truly amazing. I learned so much in one week from every teacher and from my group. As corny as it sounds I will take this experience with me for the rest of my life. Thank you for putting your all into this. It truly shows. What an amazing way to start off this new year! Thank you for such an amazing opportunity! Hope to talk to you very, very soon.

Much Love and Thanks,
Jacquie Jo Billings

Just wanted to drop you a note to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for allowing me to be a part of your intensive.  I had a blast working with those kids. You two are incredibly awesome, generous, talented people who possess that unique gift so many of us strive for- the ability to be a conduit of inspiration.  You mean the world to those kids.  You provide them with so much hope and belief in themselves, and we all know that it is that elusive hope and courageous leap of faith that gets us to where we are supposed to be.  You passed on to them a way to bravely channel their angst, fear, joy, and sadness through their art.  It was refreshing to watch them work.  I am so lucky to know you both.  At least this friendship came from surviving the guillotine :) Let's do drinks again soon.  You both are so wonderful- it's stupid. Thank you, again.

Hi, Jodie and Kim!

I just knew that I had to send an email to you guys to say one more Thank You for everything.  After meeting Jodie last spring, I went into the intensive not knowing what to expect, and ended up having an exhilarating time.  It was one of those situations that was just so meaty and honestly made me just want to dig further into the music and the acting and the lyrics.  The environment was literally a-buzz with creative energy, and one cannot find a more perfect place for working than that.  And working with all of the master class instructors, as well as our regular teachers (Gavin included) was simply unbelievable.  I had never guessed that I'd be "learning from the pros", but we did, and it was unforgettable.

And you guys are a team unlike any other.  I feel like last week would not have been the same if run by anyone else.  Jodie, you are absolutely electric, and Kim, you will settle for nothing less than excellent.  It was daunting, but thrilling, and Jersey City is so lucky to have you in on their program.  I wish you guys the best of luck with whatever comes next, we shall certainly keep in touch!!

Thank you again!!

Dear Jodie and Kim,

I want to thank you for the amazing experience I had at last week's intensive.  I came away with new skills and perspectives that I will continue to work on and apply to my life as an actor.  Now having settled back into school for my second semester, I don't think anything will compare to my time with you and your insanely talented, passionate, and nurturing staff.  Not only are they people I look up to as Broadway actors, but they are approachable, down-to-earth people who are knowledgeable both about their craft and the world, and who care about us! Thanks also for providing me with new material and the opportunity to interact with casting directors like Ryan, Jamibeth, and Alison.  They are all important people to know in this industry, and hearing them speak made me more comfortable about going into the audition room and viewing the person behind the table not as a judge, but as an advocate.  I hope to work with you again at some point.  I will definitely be back for another intensive soon!  Keep in touch.

Thanks again,

Ross Baum
